Olin tehnyt muutamia kertoja Kiilalle keikkavideoita ja
muuta elävää kuvitusta. Musiikin kuvittamiseen sopii parhaiten sellainen orgaaninen virtaava rytmi
jota luonnonilmiöt noudattelevat, pilvien pyörteet, heiluvat heinät, tanssivat ihmiset, moottoripyörät tai hyttyset.
Tämän musiikkivideon juuret kasvavat siinä kuvakielessä ja niissä metodeissa, joilla olen tehnyt videoita
elävää musiikkia varten.

I had been doing live-video and other imagery for Kiila's live performances.
So, when Sami asked me to do a music video, I put one together from material I had already been using for
their music. A lot of the video work I do is for live shows, to be used as background-visuals while the band
plays. For that use the best material is images with some sort of natural flow or rhythm. This video is based
on the kinds of images and methods I would use for live performance video.

työharjoitteluprojektissa, Ilmatieteenlaitoksen ja YLE TV2:n avustuksella. Videon leikkaaminen oli huikeaa,
pilvien orgaanisen liikkeen ja musiikin rytmien yhteensovittaminen oli ihmeellistä.

This video is edited from material I shot during one summer for a work-practice-project I had organised with
the Finnish Weather Service and YLE TV2. Editing the video was incredible.
Arranging the organic flow of the cumulus-clouds with musical rhythms was just a mind-blowing experience.
